- Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
Ranger Shaun takes you along Metate Trail, which meanders along the riverbank, crosses the river, and returns along San Tan trail. The hiking trail runs for two niles. Shaded picnic tables are also available.
Spur Cross Dragonfly Loop is longer at 3.8 miles. It’s moderately challenging and takes an hour and a half to complete. This popular hiking and walking trail attracts a lot of people. The best time to go there is October to May. Dogs must be on a leash.
